Dear,
I have installed fc6 on the motherborad ga-965gm-s2 rev 2,0 and 2 hard disk SATA shapes to you like RAID 1. During the instalalzione the system has recognized the raid like /dev/mapper/jmicron_RAID-0 \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ \ ^A. I have created the partitions but after to be concluded positively the installation, fedora not started. It does not appear nenache grub. The bios firm like if it attended the boot loader or other device can doing make a boot.
Do you have the solution or an idea to resolve my problem?

Thanks

yes, don't use the software pseudo drive mirroring on a laminated controller

if you want real RAID get a real RAID controller, I know I will on my next box I build, lessons learned.

You could configure them as simply hda/hdb or sda/sdb whatever they are and use the Linux software RAID but reviews are mixed on that.

Best of Luck,
Pat Jr.

OK! I will use inux software RAID.
Do you think in the next time also linux kernel will use this pseudo RAID with real RAID as windows?

Thank and Best of Luck also to you.

What do you mean  ?
If you want real RAID, you need a separate controller, just as PatMcLJr wrote. It doesn't matter which OS you use, fakeRAID is fakeRAID.
