yum upgrade Fedora 7 problem

I am currently running FC6 and trying to upgrade to Fedora 7 using yum.

First I did:

"yum clean all"

..and then

"rpm -Uhv http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/releases/7/Fedora/x86_64/os/Fedora/fedora-release-7-3.noarch.rpm http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/releases/7/Fedora/x86_64/os/Fedora/fedora-release-notes-7.0.0-1.noarch.rpm"

followed by...

"yum update"

which produces the following error:

I try and resolve the dependacy but get stuck in a cricular problem. Any suggest to get around this would be great.

First off note that a yum upgrade is tricky due to the libata switch. Search and you may find stories of upgrades unbootable systems.

You could start removing things in that list. You can reinstall them later. I see from the list python-cvstoys and totem-xine, for example.

Easiest would be to boot the install media.
