I have a problem. This is my first time installing Fedora 7 on a Dell Latitude D531. I had issues with the X server not wanting to start. I was getting a server 11 error. I updated Fedora and now when I do "init 5" from the command prompt it says that the X server does not want to start, when I go in to configure the settings I choose the vesa driver and click OK OK and it loads the fedora GUI. If i restart the computer i have to do the same thing. But why do I have to go through the configuration for Fedora X Server to load? PLEASE HELP!

For some reason xorg.conf is reverting bac k to the Fedora ATI driver. You will want to boot into vesa then install the livna repo and the livna ati driver. Alternatly, just try locking down xorg.conf with:
chattr +i /etc/X11/xorg.conf
You can unlock it with:
chattr -i /etc/X11/xorg.conf
