I'm at the GRUB> prompt and it tells me to Load the Kernel first but I cannot find the correct command or syntax to use? HELP. GRUB is a new animal to me. :mad:Load the Kernel

This was after you had installed or upgraded?
Sometimes a grub-install from rescue mode (http://fedorasolved.org/installation-solutions/dd-db-fix/) helps.

I installed FC6 twice and the received the same results. No auto into the Fedora OS (not a dual boot). So when I boot after install it goes directly into GRUB prompt and says use TAB for a list of commands. I have tried numerous commands most of which brought zero results but the only thing I know is that I need to "Load the Kernel". Remember I have not been into the Gnome or KDE GUI. Just stuck at the GRUB prompt.
Thanks for your help...dj

But did you try rescue mode (or maybe a live CD) and grub-install?
Or installing F7?
There is a grub manual (http://www.gnu.org/software/grub/manual/). The tricky part is which commands, typically root, kernel, initrd, boot. I think you have a grub.conf installed on the partition, but it just isn't booting to it. If you could somehow get at this you might try entering the commands by hand.
