Hi,
I'm having some problem with Fedora 7 I've install months ago. It's getting crashed with kernel panic. I was looking at http://fedoraproject.org/ for update and found 7.90. But I'm confused about the mirror sites. For i386 links Fedora 7 and Fedora 7.90 are pointed to the same site.
Anyone have any explanation or clue?
Thanks.

Fedora 7.9 is the development version (Alpha software) of what will eventually become Fedora 8. Fedora 7 is the current, stable release.

Thanks rondonjin for the quick response.
Isn't rawhide the development version? The fedoraproject site listed separate pages http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/publiclist/Fedora/7.90/i386/
http://mirrors.fedoraproject.org/publiclist/Fedora/7/i386/ .
Even if 7.9 is a dev version, under which directory should I look for a .iso of i386 at the given mirror sites?
For example in site: ftp://mirrors.kernel.org/fedora/ .

Wouldn't it be easier to revert to a kernel that doesn't give you a kernel panic rather than install an unstable development version of the software? More things than the kernel are bound to be broken, even Gnome in Rawhide is a development version. Will you be prepared to report all bugs and crashes to the developers? After all, that's what they release it for. It's for testing not daily use.

If you do really want to, the test releases typically show up on the mirrors somewhere like releases/test/7.90/Fedora/i386/iso/
