I am running FC 6 :) kernel 2.6.20-1.2962.fc6 with two onboard serial ports with standard configuration. I have installed a pci card with the following information:
lspci: 02:0b.0 Serial controller: Integrated Technology Express, Inc. IT8874F PCI Dual Serial Port Controller (rev 01)
lspci=v: 02:0b.0 Serial controller: Integrated Technology Express, Inc. IT8874F PCI Dual Serial Port Controller (rev 01) (prog-if 02 [16550])
Flags: medium devsel, IRQ 9
I/O ports at dc00 [size=256]
I/O ports at d800 [size=256]
I/O ports at d400 [size=256]
I/O ports at d000 [size=256]
I/O ports at cc00 [size=256]
I/O ports at c800 [size=256
This is a two port card. How do I configure this card using setserial or other commands? Can the two ports be autoconfigured for ports 3& 4 (ttyS2-3) or 5 & 6 (ttyS4-5) either by script or startup? How can I test which two I/O addresses coincide with the connectors?
Thanks......
