View Full Version : Broadcom and Fedora core 7 problem

hy man. i have a a big problem with mi wi-fi card, fedora find it but not work. then i have install bcm43xx-fwcutter and the card find network but it can't connect.now i wan't try another "howto" or ndiswrapper.... one help for me ? one suggested please. sorry for my bad english. :p thz for all

Nice timing. I'm working on the same issue with my laptop at home. I've started taking notes on my Wiki and have found a few links that had some good information on them. If you are interested please feel free to take a look. I'll be updating the wiki as I get more information and will put up the procedures once I find one that works.

There is a decent howto on using ndiswrapper here:

Note that you need to substitute the name of the .inf and .sys files in your particular wireless card driver for those mentioned in the howto.

Note also that there is an extra hoop to jump through for the Broadcom 4318 (and possibly other broadcoms) in a separate section at the end of the howto.

I use this with my Broadcom 4318 so I can warrant it works.
