Just installed Fedora 7 on my new Compaq Presario F572. It took a bit of doing and to get the OS to boot properly, I had to append the following to the Kernel line in Grub:
noapic irqpoll acpi=off

Problem is, with these boot additions, my wireless card is associating to IRQ 0 which is invalid.

Output of lspci -vv

Any help would be appreciated, maybe there is something else I can do with ACPI instead of turning it off?

OK I saw this thread (http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=162709). It led me to turn CPUSPEED off and allow ACPI to not be turned off. This allowed NDISWRAPPER to grab the wireless card. Everything is working on the laptop now.

It appears that noapic must be used for our laptops, and apparently several others, however this appears to conflict somehow with cpuspeed in the newer kernels. I am trying to research this more.
