I would like to install Fedora 7 from this DVD but I have XP and OpenSuSE already on my computer.
I pretty much let the setup partition it before and am a real newbie so please be gentle.
Here are the existing partitions:
sda8 reiserfs grebarton linux HOME
sda7 reiserfs windows and many linux files bin etc. ROOT
sda2 windows complete partition
sda5 MEDIADIRECT vfat permission denied
sda1 DellUtility vfat permission denied
Cannot see 4 or 6 so I guess this is the spare but I know they exist?
But how much will I need for Fedora because I need a min of 3 partitions don't I?
If so how do I set this up during Fedora 7 install.?

Any help appreciated

You don't see sda4 and sda6 probably because they are Extended Partitions.
Download GParted from OpenSuse and use it to shrink the other partitions and make free space for fedora.

I have got the Gparted ready and booted it once but I am a little scared of messing it up.

The partition I would like to use some of is 102 GB sda8 which has a good part of my opensuse on it.

How dod I assign the necessary partitions and size them in gparted without messing up the other linux and files?
