Like Device Manager in Windows...
Is there any simple chart or anything that shows me that information?
Thanks in advance.

Grab the Sysinfo RPM from here:
http://www.gnomefiles.org/app.php/Sysinfo
OK. It says FC6 but it works just fine in Fedora 7!

You didn't say if you were running Gnome or KDE so I just assumed you were running Gnome. If it's KDE then look in http://www.kde-apps.org/ for something similar.

I'm so sorry to bother you, but let me ask you another newbie question. I feel a little shamed as I speak. How do I find out if I'm running Gnome of KDE? What are differenes between the two? By the way, I'm ordering Linux for Dummies tonight for sure... Is there any starter's guide you would recommend???

If you installed Fedora and didn't change any of the installation options you're running Gnome, it's the default desktop environment in Fedora. KDE is much more customisable than Gnome in that you can change the colour of every single widget and checkbox. I find it overwhelming :D Gnome is simple and elegant :p
There have been lots of posts in the not too distant past giving advice on sites to get info and recommended books for beginners. My first piece of advice is to use the forum search function and use Google. Those and this forum are your best friends ;) There is also a 'howto' section in the forum where you can get help and advice on all the most common questions.

Once you download the RPM just double-click on it to install...

Thanks. I think it's working!
It says that my CPU is AMD Turion(tm) 64 X2, and the frequency is 800.000MHz. Why is it 800MHz, when the spec says it's 1.6GHz? Is it something to do with the dual core?

How come there is nothing listed in sound card category, but I can still hear the sound? Also, there is Broadcom Corporation Dell Wireless 1390 WLAN mini-PCI Card in Network controller section, but I cannot detect any wireless connection, and my wireless status indicator is also orange. It should be lit blue when wireless adapter is working properly...

I know nothing about wireless, but as for the soundcard, click on 'hardware' in the left column and in the right corner there's a drop-down box.

I was at the same place, but it lists nothing, and I'm hearing sound fine. I don't know what's going on... How do I attach an image like you did. I will show you what's going on with mine...

I'm stumped. Must be something to do with your 64bit architecture :(

Hey, we're not done yet! Do this:
Open a Terminal (Command line) and type:
su -
(su space dash) and give the root password. Then remove Sysinfo as it doesn't work for you:
yum remove sysinfo
Then install this:
yum install hwbrowser
It's available under 'System > Administration > Hardware' in your menu.

How about "hwbrowser". Install it from the default repos as
yum install hwbrowser
it appears as System->Hardware in the menus. This provides basic info on all devices found by the kernel. Dunno why this isn't installed by default.

The CPU clock speed is reduced when the computer is idle to save power and reduce heat production.
