Playing movie cds/dvds

How should i play movie cds or dvds in fc6.I have real 10 player for linux.But fc6 is not detecting the cd drive once i insert a movie cd in it?

I use videolan client
It works for all movies and dvd movie iso's that I have tried
It is on the livna repo
yum install vlc

my how to should work on f6 and should auto play dvds when you put them in if you have left deafault settings

I had problems mounting dvd and cd in FC6 which i solved following Muabdib's instructions here:

No automount problems in F7.
