Preamble
Hi I'm quite a newbie at this whole Linux and forum thing so if I've Posted in the wrong place please 1 tell me, and 2, guide me on how to do it right.
I tried to search Removing Repositories and found nothing so thought that this may help people getting stuck with the same problem I did. It wasn't for too long but frustrating enough anyway.
I tried to do a plug-in install and ended up with adobe as a repository somehow. Which caused all instances and front ends of Yum to fail at the loading repositories stage. I couldn't stop the Yum repository loader doing its thing and it had locked the repository manager from my use under my normal desktop profile.
To fix it.
Log in as root
Navigate to /etc/yum.repos.d/
Delete offending repository file
Note: Any other Repo you delete you will have to manually reload form the originating site. So only get rid of the one causing to errors.
Hope this helps you.
Regards
K.
