I pop the FEDORA 7 dvd in and it skips past the option for askmethod and gives a the funky new GUI asking me to choose a method. The only method listed are graphical and text....

I need to choose nfs and vesa install method or my laptop fails during the install

Anyone?????

Oh OK, I hit tab at the GUI screen, it brings me to a prompt with the gui in the background. At that time I enter "space" "linux vesa askmethod" and take it from there.

It would have been nice to have instructions....

One problem with a rapidly developing distro is that it tends to constantly violate POLA (Principle Of Least Astonishment), without proper documentation. I don't know if that one ever made it into the installation documentation or not---most of us find out the same way you did, by experimentation mixed with language that is not appropriate for this forum. :)

It took me two hours to work this out.

Can confirm that the above works!
