Hey all! I've looked over the ATI driver posts but it seems to me nothing definitive has been reached. A while back I installed the new driver for my ATI Mobility Radeon 9600 card and when I loaded my computer it would blank after the initial configurations iow. right when the login screen comes up. I was wondering if anyone has been able to get it to work properly. Is it compatible with XFree86 4.6 (the latest stable version) thanks!

Which version of FC are you using? The ATI driver works fine on my Mobility Radeon 9600 - I am running 2.6.20-1.2952. (X86_64) on a e-machines m6805 laptop.

Driver doesn't work on F7 yet - read this http://forums.fedoraforum.org/showthread.php?t=156434 you need to wait until the next version comes out - allegedly by the end of June. That is why I am still running FC6

I don't know - I stuck with FC6 because of the driver problem. You should be able to use the generic ATI driver - but the performance is horrible. Uninstall the proprietary driver and it should work.
