Hello,
I place the x86_64 disk1 cd in my disk drive,
I boot from it,
I hit enter to enter graphical setup,
My CDs are checked, they are alright to install from,
It loads a few basic drivers, can detect I'm on an ATI video card, but can't specify which one
Goes to black screen, with the little white x, where it hangs. I can move the little white x cursor around the screen for as long as I want, but nothing will happen, ever, even after hours.
I boot from the livecd, hit linux text to enter text setup,
CDs are checked, they are alright to install from,
It loads a few basic drivers, including my video card (for what reason I know not).
Goes to blue screen, where I cant do anything....ever...for hours.
Any tips?

I am writing to you from ubuntu7x86_64
2.0 ghz, 64bit quad core
4gb DDR
ATI FireGL v5200
RAID1 by nvidia (I hear this can be a problem) for my 80gb drives and my 250gb drives
Any help would be appreciated
