We've got a dedicated server for our LANs, running FC6. The problem is, none of the games we run on there (ones in title) never appear in the game browsers, eg in Steam or CoD's browser. Anyone know how to fix this? (it may seem trivial but some people have trouble following instructions sometimes, especially when there's lots of shouting :p )

Check iptables. Also make sure that it's contacting the server. I should say make sure its able to contact the steam server since it needs to contact it. Unless you set it to lan.
You need to also have a look at the howto's on the steam forums.

I've disable iptables, made it so that it doesn't look-up the steam master servers and sv_lan=1. If it's set to look-up the master servers it goes bloody slow for ages and using the console on the server = crap, doesn't work.

Run the startup sequence from the command line and see what results you get. Usually it will spit out whats causing it to fail.

i always run it from the command line, ssh to it. removing the default gateway when there is no internet solves the slow experience when there's no internet. Even with the command to tell it not to it still tries, which is crap. But, back to the original problem, anyway of getting it to come up in the steam LAN browser list?
EDIT:Added the output of the console, not the whole thing but pretty much gives the gist of what's happening.
EDIT2: Also got SAMBA running incase it's looking in there, but that doesn't seem to help either...

It should come up with the svlan command.
