FC6 to FC7

Hello, I was reading alot of the articles about doing a yum upgrade from FC6 to FC7 and I was wondering. Since I haven't had a stable FC OS (Meaning I haven't had to re-install or fdisk) and I heard that going through yum was a very painful taks. So I was wondering what would be the best way through yum or is there another way to upgrade, and also I am not sure how to do the upgrade through yum.
I know I sound like a noob but I just never done it, the last time I had to reinstall everything..

Given the choice, I prefer to do a clean install. You can also use the F7 LiveCD or the F7 install DVD to upgrade the system.
