ALSA can't detect sound card

Hello Forumz.
I did something I dont think I could ran away from. I used a HP laptop to install fedora core 6 then I had to transfer the harddisk my own laptop which is Compaq Armada M300. The bigest problem is it cant detect the sound card so I cant play any sound. I have tried to go to the sound detection wizard but still cant resolve anything. Can I get some help please? I badly need it
