tuxracer help

ok so i found a game but it only comes in source code. I tried to do the install like the web page said but somewhere i get lost an screw up. this is what i get whe i try to unpack the the first file.

[root@localhost ~]# tar xvfz tuxracer-0.61.tar.gz
tar: tuxracer-0.61.tar.gz: Cannot open: No such file or directory
tar: Error is not recoverable: exiting now
tar: Child returned status 2
tar: Error exit delayed from previous errors

I haven't tried to unpack the second one yet. Please let me know what i'm doing wrong

That's old, the newest and the same is called "ppracer" You can get it with yum from the Livna repo

If you want to extract tar achives, I find it easier to just right click on it and select "Extract here" (I know that's the noob way of doing it. :) ). Then, I open up a terminal, cd to it, and install it.

Tuxracer was replaced by planet penguin racer because Tuxracer was considered to be proprietary.
