Hi, i'm trying to install Fedora CORE 1 on a 2.4GHz P4 laptop.
512Mb Ram, 40Gb Disk
There is already a 5Gb partition with Win2K and a 12Gb partition with WinXP.

There's a few problems actually...

1. If i try to install it with any less than 15Gb of unallocated space, it tells me it cannot move the installation files,as i've probably run out of disk space.

2. Once i do get it installed, it goes through to the first boot procedure, then somewhere through this process, usually just after the licence agreement appears, i lose control of the mouse, and the pointer flies to the bottom of the screen. I can move it along the bottom, and up the left hand side, but nowhere else. Then within a screen or 2 of that the whole thing hangs.

When i restart, it boots all the way to where it initialises firewire devices [OK], then tells me:

insmod: /lib/modules/2.4.22-1.2115.nptl/kernel/drivers/block/floppy.o: init_module: Devise or resource busy
Then the same thing, except with the message: insmod block-major-2 failed
Yenta IRQ list 0090, PCI irq10
Socket status: 30000006

And that's as far as it goes... any help mightily appreciated!
