alright, im new to fedora, because i can't seem to get it installed!

on a powermac g4 1ghz dual, 1.25 gigs of RAM

it won't boot from the dvd.

when i boot the computer i hold down the "c" key, and nothing boots.

i got the iso (dvd) by way of bittorrent.

burned the image with mac osx disk utility, just like i have done with other operating system downdoads. (the other worked just fine)

i'm employed in a production facility that records and produces music and movies.

we are wanting to use cinelerra for some HD professional video editing and have heard it works best with fedora.

i have experience with ubuntu, but it wont run cinelerra.

back to the point...

my first guess would be that the iso was corrupted.

can anyone help me?

for detailed instructions, send me an e-mail:

thelinuxguy@yahoo.com

thanks, <and PS, can anyone recommend a better distro for cinelerra?>

You've found the correct distro, just grabbed the wrong type of installer media. Try the cd based images and see if that changes your luck.

Also if it's a powermac you'll need the ppc ISO images, not the x86_64 or i386 ones.
