First of all, greetings to all.

Now here's my problem: I've installed Fedora Core 6 on my machine. But I've got a big broblem, I can't connect to the Internet. I've tried to set up the network with my IP, SubnetMask, GW, DNS1 and DNS2 but no result.

The point is that i can see on the graph activity some bytes recived and sent, but I can't connect to any website. I can't even ping them.

Please help!

Sorry i forgot to metion, it's a LAN connection. I actually receive a IP, a Mask, a Gateway, the first DNS and the second DNS and Internet it's working. On Windows, at least.

So my ISP has made a big LAN, and we receive net through our network cards.

Thanks in advance,

Cheloo

Activate your eth0 or 1 whichever you are connected to the internet through. Make sure you have the correct gateway IP entered as well. Attempt to ping something and see if you get a response

marcrblevins, right now i shall restart my PC in Linux to paste in here your request.

DBizzle: i have 3 nics in my PC, the point is they are all activated. I set up the correct network interface card recording to the mac in Windows. I mean, i have watched the nic's mac in Windows to see what's the name of the device in linux. It's eth1.

Note: I have installed FC6 on my sistem, and i have same problem :( Any ideas?

PS: Still I can see some PCs from my network, but can't ping anything.

Give us some clues:

1. what does /etc/resolv.conf say?
2. what does ifconfig eth1 say?

Problem solved, thanks guys.

It was a bad GW number recived from the ISP.
