There's a new version of Sauerbraten here: http://sauerbraten.org/ A bit more sound and blood, haven't checked all the screens yet but many are the same. Nice to see them keep updating this excellent FPS. :)

That looks sweet, gonna check it out :D. Is this available on yum at all?

No, but you can simply download it, extract it in /home/username and then open a terminal, 'cd sauerbraten' and then './sauerbraten_unix' . Of course, you can also add a launcher to the desktop.
BTW, yep, there are a bunch of new levels. Worth the download for sure.

When I first saw the title I thought it was some kind of German pickle and was licking my lips. It's just a game :(

yes, asked the question before i extracted the tar.bz2 and realised it too ;)
the game's quite like quake3a, i find the guys voice quite annoying though :/
