I installed fedora core 6 in my laptop Acer TravelMate C110 about one month ago. I worked on it and i was pretty happy because every thing was working without a problem.
( Before this i tried Mandriva and Suse 10.1, but so far fedora core 6 is the best and easiest for me)
Neway until yesterday everithing was working properly, but today I cant ear a thing. Neither from the system itself or the audioplayer.
I tried to reboot but nothing...
I run the command lsmod and lspci, i cant understand nething about it but i bet u can!
This is the output:
[root@localhost ~]# lsmod

Run the command ' alsamixer '. See if the volumes are up for say master and pcm. Also make sure not muted. Muted is marked with a MM. Hit m key to unmute. See if sound returns. If so then ' su - ' to root and run the command ' alsactl store '.

If you installed KDE there is kmix, Also a gui frontend to alsamixer called alsamixer-gui. To find more goto google search engine site and use search string like ' linux mixer '.
