I'd first like to see if this is possible before I spend anymore time on this. Has anyone personally got the X1950 pro working in fedora, preferably core 6 but in any fedora distro is helpful. If you have can you please let me know step-by-step how you did it?
So far after about 10 hours I've:
gotten it to startup w/ minimum video,
gotten a little more video w/ no 3d,
attempted to get 3d, but stuck in mesa,
screwed everything up and gotten no Xserver,
got Xserver working again but VERY crapily,
once again, got no Xserver again.
I'm willing to fresh install and start over if I have to, being that this has actually been done.
I'd just also like to know my limitations.
For instance, is Beryl possible? If it is, is it buggy as hell and not worth it?
If only 2d is possible, does playback of video work decently?
