Hello :)

Have anyone tried to get the HDAPS driver for work?, built rpm's for it?

This is a very great feature on most of the Thinkpad modells

I wonder if this will be included in the kernel at some point....

heh, i was just trying this on a T60o but ran into some troubles and why im here replying now :)

the hdaps module is included at least in 2.6.20-1.2933 but not the the head parking patch, but atrpms' kernel-suspend2 package does have it. so i installed it along with compiled hdapsd and recompiled gnome-applet-hdaps from a source rpm. The hdaps module loads succesfully and detets the system as a LENOVO ThinkPad T60 but the file in /sys/block/sda/queue/protect isn't created for the applet to work properly or for the daemon to actually start (the directory along with other files are there through).

so i was unsuccessful so far :(
