Has anyone had any success running Baldurs Gate 2 on Linux (not specifically FCx) under either Wine or Cedega?
Just got Baldurs gate, as a classic RPG, with Boo goodness.

Yes, I had it working with all and its expansion some time ago. Worked like charm on both Wine and Cedega, however it took a bit of time to save (and at times I feared it had hung, but it didn't) I can't tell about latest builds of Wine (the most recent build for FC6 is 0.9.32)

In fact, on my pc it didn't work at all...I got this error message from wine
Error number: 0x800407063
Description:object reference not set
setup will now terminate
and I can't get cedega working, since my pc is convinced I don't have pygtk2->2.6 (i think) and so it won't install the cedega-small package, which I need to install the .cpkg file for cedega 6....
and boo is the space hamster. A key npc in BG2.
[edit] I found a fix here (http://consumer.installshield.com/kb.asp?id=q110641), bur since this is an M$ fix, I'm not sure what I can do about it....any help?
[edit] disregard all of this. I'm such a noob, lol, didn't figure that wine will be able to do it for me, lol.

You can also grab wine/Cedega Loki installer for Baldurs Gate 2 (+ exp): http://www.liflg.org/?catid=7&gameid=18
Works fine for me.

Only problem I ever had with Baldur's Gate was the time it took to save games with Wine.

Boo is the invisible, miniature, giant space hamster carried around by Minsc. Minsc, an NPC ranger, took a blow to the head in Baulder's Gate 1 and has never been the same since. But he's great just the way he is.
