This is for me and at least one other, I can't get FC6 to recognize any thing other than firefox 1.5. cant do an auto matic update. and when I do a manual download to a new directory
and manually unarchive, cant get anything to run.
any help would be appreciated. Getting FC6 to do it itself preffered.

Thunderbird should be available with YUM. Firefox 2.0 was not packaged for FC6 because it was thought to be unstable. However, the FC7 version works just fine. You can get it by executing the following command as root:
yum update firefox --enablerepo=development

Thunderbird 1.5 may be installed via the default Fedora repositories like so:
yum install thunderbird

if it insttalls 1.5 go to mozilla's website an download the Thunderbird 2 tarball an extract it an install it that way

I am not infront of a Fedora machine at present - but does what requirements are there for Firefox 2 ? I want to install it, but I am after the British locale version of it (Amazon.co.uk etc) I am guessing I just do:
# yum update firefox --enablerepo=development
press N at the install and then yum the updates?

Is it likely Fedora 7 will include Thunderbird 2 - I can't see it on the changelog - but cant remember the URL for the schedule regards freezes etc.
