I saw someone had a similar problem like mine. I have a dell insperon 4001 or similar with a hatchi 70 gig hard disk. I dont have a driver cd to load the drivers. I get this error with FC5 and FC6. What should I do and where should I look for drivers?

After googling for hours, here is the solution, credits go to http://web.tiscali.it/belial/Dell_1501_installation_guide.html
I had a Dell Inspiron 1501. I finally clued into google searching for that, as dell issues similar SATA hard disks. The work around is the following, and it will not affect performance.
Upon install, add this to the boot: prompt.
linux all-generic-ide
This will work great for the install. But note, it will only work for install, as it is a one-time boot parm for it. The grub configuration will make it work on every boot. YAY! Now, ah hem, the grub.
During install, you can add this to your grub kernel options:
linux all-generic-ide
If you forgot, shame on you! Just kidding ;) Use your rescue CD and add this to your /etc/grub.conf
kernel /vmlinuz-2.6.19-1.2895.fc6 ro root=/dev/VolGroup00/LogVol00 rhgb quiet all-generic-ide
Good luck
