We'll be getting 12 Intel Mac Minis next week. They will augment our existing Mac Mini cluster which is currently purely PPC-based (with a dual core G5 as the head node). Currently all the PPC machines are running FC5. When the Mactels get here, I know we have to install FC6 on at least those 12 Intel Macs, and for the sake of convenience we'll probably install it on both the Intels and the PPCs at that time. When I upgraded the PPC Macs from FC4 to FC5, I created an Anaconda kickstart script with the help of a guy in #fedora-ppc on freenode. What I want to know is: is this kickstart script still relevant? Will it work for installing FC6 on the PPCs? Will it work for installing FC6 on the Mactels? What do I need to do to get a script that will work on both (ideally) or what do I need to at least have one script per architecture to upgrade each node automatically and unattended? I do not plan to leave OS X on the Mactels, so formatting the drives and having a solo-boot scheme is my preferred way. Do I still need Boot Camp?
