Hey all,

So, Just the other day I decided to give fedora another swing. I tried about a year ago, but I didn't get very far and was just really frustrated. Anyways, a few CS classes later and I feel I have a better shot at getting this to work.

So I have A Gateway 7422GX

AMD Athlon 64 3400+ (2.2 GHz) mobile processor

1 Type I/II PC Card with CardBus
Ports - 4 USB 2.0, 1 FireWire, 1 VGA, 1 S-Video, 1 Ethernet, Microphone In, Headphone/Audio Out

I go to boot it up and its working like a charm, minus my wireless. I"ve been through the searches and looked at ndiswrapper and even trying to get it to work with the native stuff but I guess I just don't have a grasp on whats being said. When I go to the network configuration, it already shows my card by name and number under devices and hardware tabs. Like this

Can anyone guide me in the right direction to get my wireless working. The problem I have is that my apartment does not run ethernet cable to the walls, so all I have access to is wireless...meaning that if I can't get my wireless working I wont get to have internet in Fedora. Im using my desktop with windows to access the message boards.

If it makes any difference, im dual booting with windows XP on the other half my drive.

Thanks guys!
Joey

alright alittle update. I used the guide here http://forums.fedoraforum.org/forum/showthread.php?t=29659&highlight=BCM4306
with ndiswrapper and the bcmwl5.inf and bcmwl5.sys files. I got through the first few steps but it changed here..

# /usr/sbin/ndiswrapper -l
-- make sure it says "bcmwl5 present"

Mine says "bcmwl5 : invalid driver!"

Any ideas now ?

Another update

If it helps at all, when I try the step before it over again it already says that bcmwl5 driver is already installed.

Thanks for putting up with my excess posts and noobiness.
