Hello,

Has anyone successfully compiled a custom kernel for any distro of Linux running on a PlayStation 3? I need a custom kernel to activate a driver as a module, but can't get any custom compiled kernels to work. The PowerPC Linux distros don't work as easily as i386 distros. :)

Thanks for any help!
Tom

PPC distro's work exactly the same as i386 distro's. the problem is occuring from the actual lack of support for the PPC. PPC architectures are actually better than i386. they just arent as popular, thus creating a lack of support programmers to handle any bugs or build new code.

you should check out the make file for something.
