Hi everyone

I have installed fedora 4 for 64 bit and updated the kernel to kernel-2.6.17-1.2142_FC4.x86_64.rpm which was originally 2.6.11....
My network card didnt get detected so i updated the kernel
Now the network card is getting detected
I have also installed kernel-devel-2.6.17-1.2142_FC4.x86_64.rpm
After upgrading the kernel i am getting new option in the grub bootloader menu
i.e fedora core (2.6.17-1.2142_FC4.x86_64)
When i select this option to boot the os its taking 7.5 to 8.5 minutes to complete the booting process...!..........!!!1
However network card has been detected
Even the shutdown process is taking nearly 7 mins -- the message "Sytem is shutting down " is appearing after nearly 6.5 mins

Can any one help me to overcome this problem??

Do i need to install any other rpm packages??
If so send me the links to download those rpms

thanks in advance
