Hello everyone! (rookie here) :)
My Gericom Blockbuster 2440 has been disobedient in the past when it comes to linux. Eventhough I managed to install FC3 a while ago and successfully boot it up, after running it for couple of minutes the laptop powered off. (I dissapointedly returned to windows). :(
Yesterday I decided to give it a try and installed FC6. Once the boot process gets to vdev, it stops and sits there for a looong time. I tried entering "nopcmcia" / "pcmcia=off" / "nopcmcia=true" in grub but unlike FC3, here this line was not accepted.
Is there a way to make fedora never check for it and initiate a painless boot-up?
Please help..
Thanks a lot!
