This is my webcam ("Logitech QuickCam for Notebooks Pro Webcam"): http://www.eclipsecomputers.com/product.aspx?code=WCL-QCNOTEP&af=50

I would like to use it on my fc6 OS. I'd like to install the necessary software/drivers.

My kernel version (I could do a yum update) is 2.6.18-1.2869.fc6.

These are some of the sites I've found on the subject:

http://qce-ga.sourceforge.net/
http://qce-ga.cvs.sourceforge.net/qce-ga/quickcam/
http://linux-uvc.berlios.de/

I'm new at this and don't understand what needs to be done. I know how to install things using 'yum', and I once installed a program using an rpm package (RealPlayer), but I don't understand which download is the best for me and how to install (What is 'svn'? I don't understand the instructions in the first link...). What's best for fc6? I'm also afraid of messing things up, of course.

[I could also use some very basic info on installing things using Linux.]

Could anybody give me a hand?

Many thanks
