I think I set this drive up as LVM. It doesn't show as formatted in ext3. Also, Fedora has not written anyrhing to it, even the QGTParted shows it as available. Can I safely format it from a live cd with out losing anything in my current Fedora install? I can't do anything with disk. No resizing, no repartitioning, nothing. I am almost ready to do a start over. I have attached two screen shots showing the slave and the master. Thanks for any and all help!

Format what safely? The LVM? No, it contains your data.
From a terminal run pvscan; lvscan The output indicates the LVM volumes. If you didn't touch anaconda's automatic partitioning the volume will span both drives and formatting either will cause you to lose data.
And always backup.

Oh, and the LVM howto is a reference: http://tldp.org/HOWTO/LVM-HOWTO/

Thanks JMan. I guess this is where I'll learn if resizing is possible.
