I have an nvidia Riva TNT2 card and up to kernel 2.6.18.xxx worked fine with the Legacy CPU driver from the nvidia site. Now with kernel 2.6.19 it won't compile it. Do I have to wait until the next version of this driver?

Hello:
If you have the livna repo installed you can install the kmod-nvidia-legacy rpm from livna
http://rpm.livna.org/fedora/6/i386/repodata/

No need to worry about compilation issues.

I use the dries repo, but anyways kmod never worked with my video card. Instead the *.run file (legacy version) always did. But to no avail with the new kernel

I've updated today to the newest kernel 2.6.19.2288.2.4 something like that) and the legacy driver nvidia 1.0.7184 still doesn't want to work with that kernel (I use the *.run package I get from the nvidia site). The kmod thingie never worked, so I don't use it (and don't plan to do it).

I've managed to guess that's imperative to bring the nvidia.installer.log, so here it goes.

the old TNT2 card works fine with kernel 2.6.18.
