lpinfo shows up but no print

I do an lpinfo -v and the printer shows as and hp k80xi on usb. In print manager iI nstall all the drivers and after completed, does nothing for printing.
I have seen various sites saying it will not work and others that say it does.
Cheked Google and this site not much help. HELP !!!!!!
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Would install of new hplip work better. I currently have another hp installed on my local net (not a local connect like the k80xi) and it works fine, what are the chances hplip new install will mess everything up, seems everything new messes something else up.

Found solution, not what I wanted but it worked.
This was a system I installed for a friend so I just switched OS's and it worked with the other OS. Can't explain why but that's the way it worked. My HP Printer (different model) works fine with FC.
