I have a aosta DV314 12 megapixel Mini Video Camera witch can be used for video stills messenger and mp3 player.
For the life of me i could not get this to work with fedora.
From the manual i knew it should work with the usb mass storage module ,but every attempt gave the error camera not found.
When i was using kubuntu i liked digikam so installed same on fedora tested but much the same errors.
The solution
After installing digikam goto system preferences removable media camera and change command to digikam.
Plugin camera bring a still image up on camera this will start digikam.
At this screen do not download image sellect ignore.
Back to the camera select pcmode Mass storage this will mount camera as a mass storage device.
Now start digikam select camera select auto detect digikam will find camera as a mass storage device on /mnt/media, and all works well.
I think you have to select the still image for the camera to be found by system but will not work unless you follow instructions above .
Now to workout how to download MP3 to camera
