Performance with wine ?

If im playing games through wine, will they run as fast as they would on a windows system of the same spec ?

I have almost the exact same spex, fallout 2 works purrfectly, much better that in win xp. even without the fallout 2 v1.2 patch which is a must have if you're playing it in winblows, also playing ut2003 much better smoothness than under winblows.

ahh.. looks good, might install linux onto that pc as well then.. atm its only on my sempron as i need my more powerful rig for CS:S etc.. if i could get that working in linux it would be great :)
