Hi,

fc6 is working fine on my 64x laptop (including nvidia graphics card and everything) but I have two problems I don't quite understand:

- sometimes it crashes. It doesn't seem to happen at a particular moment, but quite randomly.

- sometimes the mouse pointer disappears just before the login screen (and right after the nvidia splash).

I think these two different problems could have something in common and that's why I'm writing both here. But I got no idea what it could be...

Thank you very much in advance.

Make sure you are fully updated (becuse there was a mouse driver issue in early FC6.

Make sure your mouse, nic, and video are on seperte IRQ' #'s.

Don't wiggle the mouse. :)
Lower the resolution and see if it is more stable.
Make sure your full monitor specs are defined in the X conf file.

OK. I've followed http://www-128.ibm.com/developerwor...rary/l-hw2.html and I've found that my nvidia does not have a unique IRQ. But I haven't been able to solve it. Following the instructions, I should disable in my BIOS things I don't use so that there are more chances for the nvidia to have its own IRQ. However, I don't find any way of disabling things in my BIOS. It only has options for booting, time... but not to disable parts of the laptop.

Any hints?
