i have a dell Intel 845 G/GL Integrated Video card
it will only display in 800x600
there wasn't much in the bios to upgrade video card setting
one setting i increased from 1mg to 8mg those were my only choices
any help will be helpful

It's not a BIOS issue.
You don't say what resolution you would like to use, nor which version of Fedora you are using. Sounds like Fedora Core 5 and you might need to get it to a widescreen aspect ratio.
The issue likely lies in "xorg.conf"

Otherwise, do a Google search for "845 +xorg.conf +resolution +modeline" (or any combination of those four terms) - you may be able to locate a posting that mimics your problem more closely.

im sorry for not putting that info in
its fedora core 6
and 1024x768 would be fine
just anything better than 800x600

My PC has the same board
I set up the resolution from my desktop for each user with System --> Preferences --> Screen Resolution
Every time Xorg was modified it would crash or revert to 1600 X1400

thank you guys for the help
after looking through all the stuff you gave me
i found the problem
to be honest i am used to the evil MS OS
usually what monitor you have doesnt make a difference
what the problem was is that fedora didnt know what monitor i was using
once i added the monitor i was using in the display settings it allowed me to adjust my display thank you all for your help

Yes same issue here-but when i try to select my model monitor, the "ok" button just stays dimmed out??? wt?
