I have istalled FC6 and tried to setup the Prism Intersil wireless card (I did not succeed with the onboard ipw3945 and I wanted to have something at least). It's correctly recognized, configured as wifi0, but does not get the IP number - any combination of Mode/SSID fails. The card itself is O.K. - it works under WinXP and under Linux on other laptops. It also works on my laptop under Knopix 3.9, but under FC6 does not. Any suggestion would be welcome.

does iwlist find any network points?
have you configured the card to automatically obtain an IP address?
the drivers for thw ipw3945 are in atrpms repo.

Everything below refers to the pcmcia Prism Intersil (driver orinoco) card problem, I managed to install drivers to ipw3945 and it works.
1. Yes - I see the network it is correctly recognized
2. The problem is I cannot get the IP, althogh the card is configured to obtain automaticaly.
I suppose the problem is similar to that I had with the ipw3945 - the symptoms were exactly the same and I had to recompile the driver.
