Hi, I'm very new to Linux, this is my 1st time to install FC5,
I was try to install FC5 on my 250GB Hard disk dual boot with Winxp, on the partitions and drive selection page, I selected “Remove all partitions on selected drives and create default layout” , then selected “Remove all Linux partitions on selected drives and create default layout” , then I click Next and see some data about the partitions size, at that time I knew I just made a big mistake, then I go back, and restart the computer, and want to boot into winxp, and there is nothing, so I just want to know is there any way I can recovery my hard disk? Or is there any way that I can recovery my partitions to get my data back?
Thanks!

load the windows xp setup disk.
then go to recovery console where you get a dos prompt and type
FIXMBR

this will write a new master boot record for windows and perhaps get it back. It will not hurt anything to try!

easy way to prevent future problems when you mess up is to get a copy of Norton Ghost and backup your partition to another drive. Then if you blow it , you can boot the ghost disk and restore the partition.

Others here have reported success with TestDisk (http://www.cgsecurity.org/wiki/TestDisk). If you just repartitioned and didn't write any data into the new layout, your chances of recovery should be pretty good.
