because i found a TAR installer of vmware and a DEB installer but no RPM :mad: .... thanx for replys

You can select the binary rpm ... Yes.
then rpm -ivh

Now as far as Zune goes, I honestly have no idea... sorry.

Perhaps, others can chime in on the Zune question. :)

VMware doesn't "fake" Windows at all. It's a virtual machine environment where you can install a genuine copy of Microsoft Windows. Perhaps you are confusing it with Wine (http://www.winehq.org/)?

oh ok so can i even install service packs? cause the zune wants media player and updated software installer to install it so will zune install on it??

Hello:
You should be able to install any application, service pack etc. as you would on an ordinary hd install. Subject to actual virtual hd room etc.

another question with fedora core 5 i had all my video codecs to play wmv avi, etc setup i assume reinstallling fedora core 6 again im going to have all that fun of trying to get em installed again??? :rolleyes:

Well ... Yes as it is a new OS ... no different than any other OS you choose.
It is not hard ... you can get the latest codecs from here:
ftp://ftp1.mplayerhq.hu/MPlayer/releases/codecs/all-20061022.tar.bz2
and follow the instruction guide here:
