Hey guys, look what i found last night !

it has even the linux native client !

Language is in spanish but has also partial translation in english

it's still in beta so it's free to play, right now ^^

oh yeah, on FC5 i had to do the following as root:

to enable the game to run : ln -s lib/libexpat.so.0.5.0 /usr/lib/libexpat.so.1 (check anyway where your libexpat is located with locate - i wrote this but now i'm on another pc i cannot check excatly what i did)

to enable the sound : ln -s /usr/lib/libopenal.so.0 /usr/lib/libopenal.so (i'm sure about this because i posted the fix on their forum :D)

havent checked it out yet.. but ive been playing PlaneShift... an MMORPG I found about 3 days ago [ http://www.planeshift.it ] . It's also in the beta stages and has it bugs, but it look like it has a bright future. I don't know how much more linux gaming I will get into since I'm using a notebook with a ATI Radeon Xpress 200m. Getting 3D to work correctly was a little tricky, and I don't think it's very powerful (being integrated). Anyway maybe I'lll also be taking a look, I'm going to download that video on the website.

I played Planeshift when it was like v0.0.1 or something, hehe. It had a LOT of speed problems (especially on ATi hardware) back then... I have not gotten around to installing it ever since I moved out of Fedora Core 2, lol. I'll have to give it a try, especially when there's been just a fresh update to it.

Kramnavi, that might be true except that your link works only with IE and is apparently an online game. So, other than playing it in Windows or using Wine perhaps, what's your suggestions for experiencing this game?

yes the website only opens in windows IE or any web browser , it can be played using wine, but im not sure if there is error using wine in this game, this game is really cool i try it on windows xp :D i did not try it on linux :D
