I need help :( point me to a nice fighting game that is like quake 3.. even though I liked the ra3 mod better <3.. before I waste 400 dollars on a video card i'll never use :X

sigh :( my first game was ra3 mod for quake 3.. ive played it for years and now am getting sick of it.. it's the only game ive played

wonders if ra4 mod for quake 4 is done? :D maybe I could do that.. don't know anything about it lol

I'm sure you've tried this one: http://sauerbraten.org/ After months of playing with it, I'm still hooked. Guess I love the price (free) and that it's open-source. Works well even with my ancient graphics card and can be tough at the higher skill settings...probably just that my reaction time is a bit less than a ground slug anymore...

UT2003 has a linux installer and it runs better under linux than under windows

Other good shooters out there are Nexuiz, Warsow, like bob said, Sauerbaten, Legends, etc. Nexuiz is on Extrsa, so it is a Yum-away... It uses a modified Quake 1 engine (Dark Places engine) just like Warsow, and they're really good. On my system they feel a bit sluggish, but that's due to my video card not being beefy enough to keep pace.
