What you got was probably really close to what test 3 will be like.
Or not, there's still days to fix bugs. :)

What you have is a snapshot of Rawhide in current form, which includes a package that has been renamed and prepared for test3.. and makes you think you're using test3. That is fedora-release, check it with rpm -qi.
As said... what you have will be similar, but t3 is not yet 'released'.

I guess it's coming in big steps - look here: http://download.fedora.redhat.com/pub/fedora/linux/core/test/
I can see a directory 1.92, but unfotunatelly i have no access to it yet.
I can't wait! FC1 was the first linux distro i've ever used. I guess i'm a noob then ;)

How have you found FC1? You had any problems?
Its best to wait until your experienced before running a test relase.

Actually...NO! I've tried Mandrake 9.x (which destroyed my LG CDROM), Aurox 9.1 PL, Xandros 2 (attached to Polish Linux Magazine) and FC1 which was the only one that detected all my hardware properly - just what a newbie would expect. Everything went smooth. Xandros 2 was the most windows-like and... i found it the most difficult to use (migrating from Windows XP;).

Yes, but this is TEST3 - it shouldn't have many bugs? I don't feel i can wait any longer ;) Good job Fedora Developers!
Greetz!

I ask because I cannot install FC2T2 because of a problem with the CDROM driver, and if T3 will actually be out tomorrow, it would seem to be silly for me to waste a day trying to make T2 work.

But, if the releases are typically a few weeks late, then I should try to get T2 working.

PS. if you're interested in the CDROM problem, see https://bugzilla.redhat.com/bugzilla/show_bug.cgi?id=121681
