I recently upgraded ndiswrapper from 1.21 to 1.34 since 1.21 would no longer compile with kernel 2.6.19-1.2895. This new ndiswrapper will work just fine, if activated from the command line or system-config-network. However, it cannot be activated from NetworkManager and gets stuck at the Configuring Device section of enabling the device. I've run into this problem with ndiswrapper 1.31 on an older kernel as well. Has anyone else experienced problems like this, and if so, were they resolved?

Other Details:
SMP kernel
512 MB Ram
BCM4311 wlan card

Thanks in advance for any help.

edit:
I installed ndiswrapper 1.25 from livna, which works, but I'd like the updated version if possible as it does things such as signal checking.
Also, using the bcm43xx driver is currently not an option as the 4311 is not supported, but I am tracking the wireless-dev git branch in hopes that it soon will be.

I don't believe that NetworkManager supports all wireless interfaces. Just a select list.

Yes, but NetworkManager worked just fine with ndiswrapper 1.21 (and 1.25) but not 1.3x. It also recognizes the interface, but is unable to activate it. It feels that there is something else at work here.
