I installed mozilla browser and a backup to firefox, when I open mozilla and go to a page it shouts down and I get this error.

Can someone explain what is happening and how to fix it. I would greatly appreciate it.

Are you using FC5 or 6 ?
And how did you install the mozilla browser?

I'm using fedora core 6 and I installer it using the installer that came with mozilla? I downloaded mozilla from the website

Hello:
Well off hand I would check to make sure that you have gtk2 etc. installed.
I know that in FC6 unlike previous releases did not come with mozilla-devel pakacage and suite.
If that does not work then have a look at the build requirements on the mozilla site http://developer.mozilla.org/en/docs/Linux_Build_Prerequisites
it may provide some clues as to what libraries you are missing.

Edit:
You might also consider installing Opera as another bowser.
It is available in a rpm format for fc6

I am running FC6 & followed the below info I gained fron a french site to get V2 of firefox running without any problems.

Install Firefox 2 on FC6

wget http://remi.collet.free.fr/rpms/fc6...remi.noarch.rpm

rpm -Uvh remi-release-1-2.fc6.remi.noarch.rpm

yum --enablerepo=remi update firefox
